I know, my love. This is not much of a poem

But I have no other words to say, rather than –

When I grew up to know you

I thought you were perfect, and I fell in love.

As the years went by, your imperfections showed,

Then, I loved you even more.

Finally we ended up here:

You, wearing my ring; me, wearing yours

Which means: I am your wife, and you are mine.

And I wonder: do lovers stay together for life

Because they know each other so well

Or the other way around:

Because they need time to learn more, like

How come this big heart of yours

Fits into your little body?

Tonight, my love, let us wish our life

would be an everlasting adventure

To explore what is yet to be revealed.
